New Beginnings… New Opportunities
June 15, 2024, marked a joyous day at Auxilium Convent School, Lonavla, as the gates opened to welcome back eager students for the new academic year. The air buzzed with excitement and anticipation after a period of closure.Teachers had poured their hearts into decorating the classrooms, creating an inviting and vibrant atmosphere to greet the students. Their efforts paid off as the children walked in with wide-eyed wonder, ready to embark on a year of learning and growth.
The day held special significance as we also welcomed our new School Manager, Sr Rosy Mascarenhas. A short program was organized by the teachers and students to seek divine blessings for the academic year ahead and for Sr Rosy as she steps into her new role.
The program began with a graceful prayer dance by the students, setting a serene tone for the day along with a meaningful prayer service conducted by the teachers. The teachers then serenaded Sr Rosy with a melodious welcome song, expressing their joy and support.
Sr Shiny Alphonse, our esteemed Headmistress, introduced Sr Rosy to the assembly. She described her as a person of humility and understanding—qualities that resonate with the ethos of our school.
Tr. Vrushali Shelar recited a blessing poem, weaving words of hope and guidance. Ms. Shwetha Bera of STD XB delivered a heartfelt welcome speech, while Ms. Alaina Patrao of STD VIA enchanted us with a melodious blessing song.
In addressing the school for the first time, Sr Rosy thanked everyone for the warm welcome and heralded in the new year with the famous story of the farmer and his cow who was saved from the ditch unknowingly by just shaking off the dust thrown on him and rising out of the ditch it was in. She asked the students to put in their best efforts by dusting off their past failures and unwanted behaviours, challenging them to rise to new heights of success.
