On the 18th of September 2024, Auxilium Convent High School, Lonavla, witnessed a significant event—the Investiture Ceremony of the Captains of various clubs. The ceremony took place during the school assembly and was presided over by the Manager, Sr. Rosy Mascarenhas, and the Headmistress, Sr. Shiny Alphonse.

The ceremony marked the official formation of several clubs, each designed to cater to the diverse interests of the students. The clubs inaugurated included the Media Club, Language Club, Science Club, Maths Club, Ecology Club, Music Club, History Club, Geography Club, Computer Club, Arts Club, USM Club, and AYG Club.

Sr. Rosy Mascarenhas and Sr. Shiny Alphonse led the investiture, bestowing the Captains with their badges and responsibilities. The day began with a warm welcome for the teachers, who entered the basement dressed in their finest attire. They were greeted with the melodious tunes of a song and the lively dance of the students, creating a festive and joyous atmosphere. Each teacher was presented with a rose and escorted to their seats, where they eagerly awaited the program prepared in their honor.

The celebration showcased the students’ love and gratitude through a series of performances, including dances, skits, comedy enactments, and songs. The energy and creativity of the students were evident in every act, making the teachers feel truly special and appreciated.

On the evening of the 15th of August 2024, Auxilium Convent High School, Lonavla, had the honor of hosting a grand welcome ceremony for Mother General Sr Chiara Cazzuola and her Council, along with the Provincials and their councils from the seven Provinces of PCI. The event was a beautiful blend of tradition, culture, and heartfelt hospitality.

The program began with the guests being led to the basement to the rhythmic beats of traditional drums and the melodious chimes. This ceremonial procession set the tone for the evening, filling the air with a sense of anticipation and excitement.

Once the guests were seated, they were individually welcomed by the Sisters, teachers, and students. This personal touch made each guest feel special and appreciated, setting the stage for the evening’s festivities.

The program unfolded with a delightful welcome song performed by the teachers, followed by a vibrant display of India’s diverse cultures. From the north to the south and from the east to the west, the students showcased a multitude of dances and songs, each representing the rich cultural heritage of different regions of India. Celebrating the 78th Independence Day at Auxilium Convent High School, Lonavla

On the 15th of August 2024, Auxilium Convent High School, Lonavla, celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and an added reason for joy. The school had the distinct privilege of hosting our Dear Mother General, Sr Chiara Cazzuola, and her council, along with the Visiting Councilor, Sr Celine Jacob, who was the Chief Guest for the event.

The celebration began with the flag hoisting ceremony outside the basement, where Sr Celine Jacob had the honor of hoisting the national flag. The sight of the tricolor fluttering in the breeze filled everyone with a sense of pride and patriotism.

Following the flag hoisting, the Sisters were led to the basement, where a vibrant and colorful program awaited them. The event commenced with an inter-religious prayer moment, symbolizing unity and harmony among different faiths. This was followed by a series of captivating performances by the students, including speeches, dances, patriotic songs, and aerobic displays, all showcasing the patriotic fervor and talent of the students.

The audience was left mesmerized by the performances, which were a testament to the hard work and dedication of both the students and the teachers. Each act was a beautiful expression of love for the country and a reminder of the sacrifices made by our forefathers for the freedom we enjoy today.

In her address to the gathering, Sr Celine Jacob delivered an inspiring message to the students. She emphasized the importance of carrying forward the values symbolized by the national flag and the principle of non-violence preached by the freedom fighters. Sr Celine encouraged the students to become beacon lights of tomorrow, standing for values and striving to give their best to India. She highlighted that despite our differences, we are united by the spirit of India, breathing it wherever we are.

Investiture Ceremony of the Student Council 2024-2025

Auxilium Convent High School, Lonavla celebrated a momentous occasion on the 6th of July, 2024, with the Investiture Ceremony for the new Student Council of the primary and secondary sections for the academic year 2024-25. The event, held on the school terrace, was graced by the proud parents of the newly elected council members and was themed “Reach for the Stars.”

The ceremony commenced with a grand March Past, where the new Student Council members marched proudly to the beat of the drums, making their way to the stage. This was followed by a serene prayer moment, invoking blessings on the new leaders and the entire school community.

The highlight of the event was the Investiture Ceremony itself. Sr. Shiny Alphonse, the Headmistress, Sr. Rosy Mascarenhas, the Manager, and Sr. Shobha D’Souza, the Supervisor, invested the leaders with their responsibilities. The newly appointed Headgirls, Captains, Prefects, and Assistant Leaders solemnly pronounced their oaths, pledging to uphold the values and responsibilities entrusted to them.

In her address, Sr. Rosy Mascarenhas congratulated the new leaders and encouraged them to be exemplary role models for their peers. She assured them of the unwavering support of their teachers and urged them to embrace the challenges ahead with determination, as these experiences would shape them into greater leaders in the future.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the new Headgirl, Ms. Shweta Bera. She expressed gratitude to the school management, teachers, and parents for their support and guidance.

June 15, 2024, marked a joyous day at Auxilium Convent School, Lonavla, as the gates opened to welcome back eager students for the new academic year. The air buzzed with excitement and anticipation after a period of closure.Teachers had poured their hearts into decorating the classrooms, creating an inviting and vibrant atmosphere to greet the students. Their efforts paid off as the children walked in with wide-eyed wonder, ready to embark on a year of learning and growth.

The day held special significance as we also welcomed our new School Manager, Sr Rosy Mascarenhas. A short program was organized by the teachers and students to seek divine blessings for the academic year ahead and for Sr Rosy as she steps into her new role.

The program began with a graceful prayer dance by the students, setting a serene tone for the day along with a meaningful prayer service conducted by the teachers. The teachers then serenaded Sr Rosy with a melodious welcome song, expressing their joy and support.

Sr Shiny Alphonse, our esteemed Headmistress, introduced Sr Rosy to the assembly. She described her as a person of humility and understanding—qualities that resonate with the ethos of our school.

Tr. Vrushali Shelar recited a blessing poem, weaving words of hope and guidance. Ms. Shwetha Bera of STD XB delivered a heartfelt welcome speech, while Ms. Alaina Patrao of STD VIA enchanted us with a melodious blessing song.

In addressing the school for the first time, Sr Rosy thanked everyone for the warm welcome and heralded in the new year with the famous story of the farmer and his cow who was saved from the ditch unknowingly by just shaking off the dust thrown on him and rising out of the ditch it was in. She asked the students to put in their best efforts by dusting off their past failures and unwanted behaviours, challenging them to rise to new heights of success.

The festivities commenced with a grand welcome for our esteemed support staff, who were greeted with applause and admiration as they made their way into the basement, the heart of our celebration. To mark the beginning of the program, they were invited, alongside other dignitaries, to light the lamp—a symbolic gesture of illuminating our path with positivity and gratitude.

As the soft glow of the lamp filled the room, a solemn prayer service followed, invoking blessings upon each member of the support staff and their families. With the theme “Your presence fills our hearts with love,” the occasion was a celebration of the bonds of love and unity that bind our school community together.

As Sr. Meenakshi entered the school premises, she was greeted with a heartwarming sight – the entire basement adorned with hearts, and the children themselves carrying hearts to welcome and appreciate her presence among us. It was a beautiful testament to the love and affection shared by all.

The event kicked off with a heartfelt prayer moment, as students and teachers joined in prayer, seeking blessings for the journey ahead. This was followed by a series of captivating performances, including a skit and dance numbers, showcasing the talents and creativity of the students.

As the day unfolded, the spotlight turned to the students of STD X, who took center stage to share their journey through the school years. Through a funny yet heartwarming skit and speeches, they reminisced about the ups and downs, the laughter and tears, and the bonds that had grown stronger with time.
